My first ever video and an intro to a tutorial....

So, I've been pondering about what to do for a fun tutorial and I was inspired by Malin's little vlogs she's been making. I think it is so fun to hear all the voices of those whose blogs I read everyday, don't you? It just makes it all so personal.

So today I had a giant brainstorm. It was such a lovely day and I was reading everyone's blogs that I lurk on about snow days and snow storms that I thought to give you all a little vacation.

There is an actual tutorial bit coming, but being my first vlog tutorial, I need to edit it down a bit.

When you see the meaty-goodness part you'll see what I mean....but I think it turned out rather well being my first one and considering I shot it with my right hand while painting with my left hand and simultaneously being distracted by weird-o people jogging with their entire heads wrapped in scarves....Seriously...it was nowhere near cold enough for that. Without a stiff wind it was actually quite warm in my long sleeve shirt and jeans.

Anyway, it may take me a few days to get it edited but in the meantime enjoy a little taste of the salt air and sunshine!

AWESOME!!! YOO HOOO! I am so jealous and I can't wait to see more. Funny thing, my sister had a biospy yesterday and the doctor told her to go on vacation in her head. When he asked her where she went, she said "Cocoa Beach" :)

Fun to hear your voice, Barbara! And so lovely to see the surf and a color that isn't white all the time! Looks so warm and lovely. And that seagull really is a camera hog. I thought it was charming that he walked around and came back to be on film! Thanks for sharing that. Look forward to more!
Enjoy the day!

Gracious, mercy! I tried to publish Kelley's comment from my iphone and it deleted it so I'm reposting it here:

Thank you for sharing part of your corner of the world with us. I always love seeing and hearing the ocean. Great hearing your voice, too!

Can I set up your video on a continuous loop?? I want to hear the wind, see the waves and the seagulls over and over. If I look outside my window right now it is snowing...again...so let me say 'thank' you for your little bit of warmth shared today.

Oh, I do love the sea so very much. Great to hear your voice - love your accent. Especially on 'So' and 'hellO'...mUst be the geeky musician in me, I people's unexpected (to me!) vowels are just so exciting! Can't wait for more vlogs - they're so fun and I'm really enjoying the recent spurt of them in blogland.

Dearest Barbara... way to go out on a limb with the video camera! I do love putting faces with voices with pieces of art. It really does add a personal touch to a blog or website.

Hope you enjoyed your day at the beach. Feel free to send the sunshine up to WI anytime you wish!

{Hugs!}
