numero due....
Since my first blog giveaway had all to do with being blessed...here is the next installment and it is a doozy. One of the ways I feel blessed this week is for my amazing friends. We all have buddies and acquaintances but there are those amazing few whom no matter how much time passes, you can pick up right where you left off, as though no time has passed and have the same amazing conversations and love as if you have never parted. It is for those friends in my life to whom this giveaway is dedicated.
In this giveaway, one lucky recipient will receive a completely original necklace, dedicated to friends. I can't show a picture, because that would ruin the surprise, but it will be inspired by the necklace pictured above. When the lucky person wins, I will post a picture of the one of a kind necklace and phrase that one person has. You won't be sorry! I promise. Especially if you are a sappy, friend-loving gal as myself.
Tell all your friends! Those true-blue friends who bless your lives to come enter the giveaway! It's a freebie for goodness sake!
p.s. enter by 11 p.m. EST on 8/11/09 by entering a comment below! thanks friends, old and new!

Just recently I have been feeling how blessed I am to have friends who not only support and love me, but challenge me to take a hard look at life, just to make sure I am making the most of every moment. Sometimes these challenges can be tough, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
I'm loving these giveaways! And I bet the entries are giving you some inspiration as well!
My entry would be simply the phrase "sharpening." That's what I see as special and unique as good friends are. When my words, ideas, dreams, goals, life in general is dull, friends that care for me will come in and sharpen things up. I can name on one hand how my friends have sharpened me in my dreams and goals recently. It would be so easy to give up and give in but my friends are there to keep me from becoming dull. And life with my friends is never dull! :)
Thanks again B!
At this season of my life, I'm blessed that my children have also become my friends. The difficult part of "mothering" is done and we can just enjoy being together and talking as adults. We obviously have a lot of history but we have a lot of present, and I hope, a lot of future too. One of the great joys of friendships is that they are always growing. It's like a seedling putting down roots, then springing up before your eyes. But when the rapid, first growth is over, the deep, solid growth begins. Little by little, year after year, barely noticeable, until a storm hits and you realize how steady and strong this friendship is and you cling to it, seek shelter in it and make it through the rough times together. Really good friends are rare and I treasure each one.
What a unique and beautiful giveaway.
I feel extremely blessed for the friendships I have - especially with the genuine friendship with my sister. Two years ago my sister moved to my town. We have not lived in the same location since we were under our parents' roof. We have always been very close, but being able to see her every day is wonderful.
Having lost my family when I was young, friends are the best family I could ever wish for.
I have been blessed just recently with two new friends...the kind that feel like old friends. You know what I mean. And it reminds me of the song that my little Brownies troop would sing together at meetings: Make new friends but keep the old~ One is silver and the other is gold.
I feel blessed to have a friend whom I met when I was 6 years old. Although we have different interests and have miles between us there is nothing that could ever really separate us. At 39 now we have a lot of memories and a lot more to make
I have some amazing friends. Some don't understand me quite as well, and that can hurt, but I just have to look at the ones who do...especially my sister. People call us weird because we get along so well but she's my best friend: always has and always will be

so lovely. hope to win. beautiful blog!
It's true, friendship is a blessing. My best friend from High School lives in another state, I only get to see her every 2nd year or so, but when we catch up, it's like no time has past at all. Too me, that is true friendship, where time is no barrier.
Gathering with college friends annually has become such a life raft as our lives carry forward. We are all in our mid 50s now and have gotten through many a crisis in the company of friends. This is such a thoughtful tribute.
Your blog is just beautiful as are you! Great give away, i am keeping my fingers crossed! Can't wait to see you tomorrow, hope it is busy!
What lovely work you have! Such heart and then to share it by giving it away - how wonderful.
Reading your post, I think of Anthony, my new friend for life. He has helped me to be the best version of myself. He doesn't know it, but he mended my broken wing and I can fly once again. Now, I look forward to every new day. How amazing it would be to have a special necklace created by you that symbolizes the power of friendship, love and a generous spirit!
What a fantastic giveaway! I love the idea. I don't know what I'd do without my friends! I learned how important they really were as I got older, got married and had a child- I don't know if I would have gotten through those 3 things without them! Thanks for the chance for the necklace!
Happy weekend, xo natalea
Some of my best memories are those with friends. We laugh till our sides hurt and once we even laughed till we wet our pants in the middle of walmart (that was before digital photos and we were looking at pics we had just had processed.) Fun times! Great blog-thanks for sharing!
My sister is my best friend! I feel so lucky that my sister & I have always gotten along...she's the best! :)
I have friends that are just like me and other friends that are so completely opposite and I feel fortunate to love 'em all. It keeps life interesting and true friends will get along with their differences not getting in the way of good times and good laughs. Till election time, anyway!
I love Mother Teresa's quote "If you judge people, you have no time to love them."
Too true...
What a wonderful give away! Your blog is just beautiful. You really have a lot of talent.
Beautiful sentiments from a dear friend.. I cannot help but tear up when remembering the initial exuberance, reminiscence and frenzied (and emotional) catch-up which was followed by content happiness, peace and understanding of lifelong friends meeting again.
Thank you for posting this!
