numero due....winner!
So, I've been terrible. I haven't posted in nearly a week, and I neglected to post the winner for my second giveaway. I had a good reason, really, I swear. I made the item for the giveaway, screwed it up, made it again, wasn't happy with it, fooled around with it, and so here I am a week and a half late....
BUT, I think once you see the pictures, you will be pleased and jealous of the winner. So, the lucky winner is comment #6, posted by Heather. Here is Heather's comment about friendship:
Heather said...
I have been blessed just recently with two new friends...the kind that feel like old friends. You know what I mean. And it reminds me of the song that my little Brownies troop would sing together at meetings: Make new friends but keep the old~ One is silver and the other is gold.
I remember that song, of course I was a Brownie, and it is so true! Each of our friends holds such a special meaning for us.
To tell you a little bit about the necklace Heather has won, I'm recently back in touch with a friend that I lost touch with. We had many things to talk over, but one of her mottos is, Amore Vincit Omnia, which translated from Latin, means Love Conquers All. It can also be written, Omnia Vincit Amore, but I chose to use her usage of the phrase, which is a more modern. So, the necklace has one of my stamped birds with the Latin on the front, and the English translation with a tiny heart on the reverse. It features all handwrapped vintage beaded embellishments, all on Brass chain, and is adjustable, with a darling dangle in back. There are some similar pieces for sale in my shop here and here.
Congratulations Heather! Please email me at info[at]secondsurf[dot]com with your shipping info so I can get your necklace in the mail to you!
